Fango (english version)
“The Fusion explorers…” with these words the newspaper “La Nuova Provincia di Biella” stressed the issue of the CD in 1994. An Album, self-produced by the members of the band themselves, where all the influences of the most typical references of this kind can be found, from the Pat Metheny Group to Mike Stern, from the Yellowjackets to the Chick Corea Elektric Band. All the musical excerpts are composed by the group.
“At their first recording attempt the Fango group members propose a very multi-coloured and rich style work: swing, latin jazz, new-age, fusion, funky, in a well chosen combination able to satisfy both the requirements of the experts and those of the simple music lovers [...] the musical influences in their music range from Pat Metheny to Mike Stern in a whirl of variations, to please all tastes.”

Some curiosities…
The album was born from a simple idea that all the musicians (at that time) had in common: record the music that for some time we had developed together and which at that time we played going around in clubs.
For the occasion we prepared all the basic sequences of any songs on the computer, a glorious Amiga 500+ with Tiger Cub as a sequencing software (in my opinion it’s still matchless for such things), afterwards at the studio we overlapped the real instruments and thus created the mix you can listen to. An exciting experience…!
